Llandanwg is a quiet and peaceful hamlet situated not far from the town of Harlech.It has a wonderful beach, ideal for families, which has won a clean beach award for 2007. Nestled within the sand dunes is the fourteenth century St.Tanwg church, which holds candlelit services once a month, at which you would be most welcome. Enjoy refreshments at the beach café, (under new ownership from Easter 2008) whilst enjoying spectacular views of the Lleyn peninsula and beyond.

Harlech is a nearby town (three minutes by car) with a variety of cafes and antique shops, as well as the castle, with its fantastic views.
Also in Harlech are the prestigious Royal St.Davids Golf Course (www.royalstdavids.co.uk), and the Harlech theatre with a varied programme of entertainment.www.theatrharlech.com.
For those into boats and sailing, the Llanbedr and Pensarn Yacht Club (www.LPYC.org.uk) is close by.

The Town of Porthmadog and the Italian Village, built by William Clough Ellis

are half an hour by car to the north, whilst to the south is the seaside town
of Barmouth, with its beach and the picturesque Mawddach Estuary, ideal for
walking or cycling.
Bikes can be hired from Chris at the Birmingham Garage, if you don't wish
to bring your own.
Further down the Estuary is the old county town of Dolgellau and Coed y Brennin
Forest, a mountain biker's paradise.
